This year’s Haslett High School spring play is actually two one-act plays in the same performance instead of the usual two-act play.
The first play is a collection of monologues from the point of high schoolers. The second is a collection of failed date scenarios called “Check Please.”
“I think it’s a funny play,” junior Zack Sneed said.
Sneed has been in every play and musical production since seventh grade. “I’ve always had chorus roles since last year. I’m stoked to get lines,” he said.
For junior Sophie Vogelsang, this is her first doing the play as well as the musical earlier this year. With the play being a collection of scenarios, people haven’t been assigned parts yet.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the whole thing come together,” Vogelsang said.
The play will be performed in March.
