Looking towards the 2016-17 Haslett wrestling season

Going to multiple schools and wrestling with his teammates, junior Nevin Brittain prepares for states. Being the only one from his team who qualifies, Brittain finds it as a great opportunity to represent his whole team.

“Me making it to states kind of represents how well the team is,” Brittain said. “And even though we are a young team we are still pretty good because at least one person made it to states.”

He is not sure how he will do at states but he is going to give it his all. Brittain says everyone is happy that the season is over because they can have different opportunities but they are also sad. He says the season is never really over because they are always preparing during the off season.

“The team was mostly seniors and they were a big part of our team, but now they’re leaving,” Brittain said,” Some will be missed.”
