Being in the snowiest months of the year, students have to keep in mind the requirements for the number of days they actually have to be at school. Students are required 180 days of instruction but, six of those can be “snow days.” if there were to be a case where our school goes over that six day limit, time will have to be made up by adding them on before summer break. Is that far enough when it comes to surrounding schools in our area getting out before us with the same start date?

Most students want to enjoy our summer but if these possible extra days were to get added on that might put a damper on your vacation. Haslett is near that limit but, the weather is constantly changing so it’s hard to judge whether we will go over limit. There has already been six this year, but there may be exceptions due to a state of emergency.
